Research Awards Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility
All submissions—theses, dissertations, articles, monographs and books—must have been accepted or published during the 2007-2008 academic year. Submissions must be received by CASE no later than February 20, 2009.
Judging
External representatives from the Giving USA Foundation and CASE
Commissions on Philanthropy, Alumni Relations and Communications &
Marketing select the winning entries.
Submitting Your Entry
For theses and dissertations, submit all materials listed
below in an electronic format. Please include in your submission:
- A one-page letter from a faculty member outlining the study's contribution to the field of advancement
- The student's vita
- A copy of the abstract of the thesis/dissertation
- A copy of the entire thesis/dissertation
For published work, include in your submission:
- The author's vita
- Five copies of the published work

Regarding unpublished works: In submitting the author's
material to the 2009 Research Awards, the author agrees to CASE having
the right of first refusal to publish any part or all of the
submission, under the author's name, at CASE's discretion. CASE is not
obligated to publish and may waive this right, allowing the author to
publish through its own outlets or through the International Journal of Educational Advancement.
